For 2019, Sterling by Music Man will be bringing us new takes on several old favorites including a new 7-string John Petrucci Majesty in 3 exciting finishes, a new dual humbucker St. Vincent signature model, a new take on the James Valentine signature model with a Tremolo system, the Albert Lee signature model in a new finish, two new Stingray bass models and the long awaited return of the Cutlass in two varieties.
Sterling by Music Man at NAMM 2019
The latest version of the Sterling by Music Man John Petrucci Majesty is the long-awaited 7-string edition in the iconic Arctic Dream finish as well as Pearl White and a stunning Metallic Purple. The latest John Petrucci Majesty models come in 6 and 7 string designs with Mahogany bodies and Mahogany set necks, with deep cutaways offering incredible access to the upper frets. Electronics include two humbucker pickups and a 12dB boost on the volume control that provides an easy way to switch instantly between rhythm and lead playing. Inspired by the BFR shieldless models, the latest version of the Sterling by Music Man John Petrucci Majesty is available in three finishes; Arctic Dream (pictured below), Pearl White and Purple Metallic (pictured above).
The Valentine JVT60T is a revamped version of the already beautiful Sterling by Music Man James Valentine signature but in a new design that comes equipped with a Music Man designed fulcrum tremolo system. Featuring a Mississippi Swamp Ash body with a sleek roasted maple neck and fretboard, the new Valentine JVT60T also comes with a push-push 12dB boost on the volume control which is perfect for switching quickly between rhythm and lead settings. This new Valentine guitar is available in a Toluca Blue finish.
The latest edition of the Sterling by Music Man St. Vincent series is the STV60HH which features a dual humbucker pickup configuration that delivers even more tonal variety to this unique design. The new St Vincent STV60HH also features a perfectly balanced mahogany body, rock maple neck with Rosewood fretboard, a bent steel vintage style tremolo, and an oversized 4+2 headstock with locking tuners for tuning stability. The new Sterling by Music Man St. Vincent is available in two eye-popping finishes; Fiesta Red (pictured above) and Daphne Blue (pictured below).
The Sterling by Music Man Cutlass is a classic double cutaway design which comes in two varieties, three single coil pickups and a bridge humbucker with two single coil pickups. The Sterling by Music Man Cutlass brings classic styling and versatile tone to a price point that is popular among today’s players. Featuring an iconic double cutaway Poplar body in your choice of classic Vintage Cream (HSS pictured below), Stealth Black (HSS), Charcoal Frost (SSS pictured above) and Daphne Blue (SSS) finishes, the new Cutlass features a Hard Maple slim neck with 5 bolt neck joint designed to provide unfettered access to the highest register of the 22-fret Maple or Rosewood fingerboard. Both designs also feature 5-way pickup selectors, a vintage style tremolo system and the oversized 4+2 headstock.
The latest version of the StingRay Bass lineup, the Ray 34/35 bass features a 3-band active preamp in a dual humbucker design that delivers a big and bold sound StingRay basses are famous for. Featuring a modern contoured Mahogany body, a comfortable Roasted Maple neck, and Roasted Maple or Rosewood fretboard, the Ray 34/35HH is on point in every way. Available in Pearl White and Stealth Black.

The Sterling by Music Man Albert Lee signature model features a retro offset mahogany body with a super comfortable, buttery smooth hard maple neck with a Jatoba fretboard, and 2 humbucker pickups with a 5-way pickup selector and a music man designed fulcrum tremolo system. The neck is sleek and smooth, perfect for all kinds of lightning quick ‘chicken pickin’ licks. Available in 2019 in three finishes: Trans Walnut (pictured above), Black, and Daphne Blue (pictured below).
