2019 Preview: New Line of Deluxe Solidbodies and More From D’Angelico

In2019 D’Angelico will be releasing a brand new line of their vaunted solidbody electric guitars, including new takes on the Bedford and the Atlantic, and the introduction of a completely new double-cutaway solidbody the Deluxe Brighton. Read on to learn more about these exciting models soon to be available from D’Angelico Guitars!

DELUXE BRIGHTON ®

The newest addition to the D’Angelico solid body lineup, the Deluxe Brighton features a sleek double-cutaway Swamp Ash body that is lightweight and contoured to allow easy and unfettered access to the highest frets of the slim, c-shaped Maple/Walnut neck with 22-fret Pau Ferro fretboard. The satin finish on the neck is buttery smooth and the Swamp Ash body is extremely light and comfortable, making the Brighton a joy to play. Sonically, the combination of tone woods like Swamp Ash, Maple and Walnut, neck-thru-body design, and a pair of Seymour Duncan 59 humbuckers, gives the Deluxe Brighton a vintage tone with endless sustain. Available in Steel Blue, Black, Natural Swamp Ash, and Hunter Green.

DELUXE BOB WEIR BEDFORD ®

The Deluxe Bob Weir Bedford is the first signature model to be introduced in D’Angelico’s line of solid body electrics and represents the next chapter in Bob Weir’s career as a musical innovator. The Deluxe Bob Weir is the latest version of Weir’s concept of a powerhouse guitar that never lacks in brightness or clarity. Featuring an offset lightweight basswood body with a Maple/Walnut neck, and neck-thru-body design, the Deluxe Bob Weir Bedford is uniquely contoured to allow easy access to the highest frets of the 22-fret Pau Ferro fretboard. Sonically, the Bob Weir Bedford features two Seymour Duncan P-90 pickups in the neck and bridge positions with a Lollar Blonde single-coil nestled in the middle, and a five-way pickup selector blade which allows you to blend tones in new and entirely innovative ways. The Deluxe Bob Weir Bedford is available only in a matte stone finish.

DELUXE BRANDON NIEDERAUER ATLANTIC ®

Another new signature model, the Deluxe Brandon Niederauer Atlantic gets its energy from the young guitarist who inspired it, the amazing Brandon Niederaurer (featured in the video above). In this new deluxe edition of an emerging favorite, D’Angelico has taken the Atlantic single cutaway body style in lightweight Basswood, and coupled it with a Seymour Duncan custom DA-59 in the neck, with an Antiquity humbucker in the bridge position, giving this guitar a searing vintage tone that is irresistible. The Maple/Walnut neck with Pau Ferro fretboard is satin smooth and incredibly easy to play. Available only in a sonic blue finish with satin chrome hardware, the Deluxe Brandon Niederaurer Atlantic will only be available in a limited run in 2019.
