We’re happy to share some advance photos and info on some of the new axes that Schecter Guitars will be unveiling at this year’s NAMM show. You can see and read more about all of these guitars at Schecter’s website, but read on below for a quick preview of some of Schecter’s hottest new releases.
A modern update on the classic Flying V, played by so many greats including Schecter featured artist Zakk Wylde, the V-1 Apocalypse in a gorgeous Red Reign Finish features a lightweight and resonant Swamp Ash body with a thin ‘c’ shape Maple/Padauk multi-ply neck with Carbon Fiber reinforcement rods. The 24-Fret ebony fingerboard features dot inlays on all but the 12th and 24th frets where there are pyramid inlays, and Schecter classic glow-in-the-dark markers for gigs in dark clubs and other low light situations.
The Hardware pictured features a Floyd Rose Locking Tremolo system, but the V-1 also comes in a non-tremolo version with string-thru-body bridge configuration and Schecter locking tuners for tuning stability. The electronics include two sizzling hot Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI™ humbucker pickups, wired for maximum sonic mayhem.
Due to be released from the Schecter vault in 2019 is the Schecter PT Sun Valley Super Shredder, a T-style metal guitar/shred guitar similar to the PT played by Schecter featured artists John Feldman of Goldfinger and Johnny Verdugo of King of Liars, with unique Schecter refinements that make this tele part of the Sun Valley Shredder Series. Featuring a lightweight Alder flat top body, with a thin ‘c’ style maple neck with 22-Fret Rosewood fingerboard, the PT features a Floyd Rose locking tremolo system and twin Schecter Diamond SuperRock-II humbucker pickups that are sizzling with gain. Also comes in a string-thru-body version (not pictured here) with a traditional PT-H bridge, Graph Tech XL Ivory Tusq nut and locking tuners for tuning stability.

Push/Pull volume and tone knobs allow you to split the coils on these humbuckers, giving you access to a more traditional Tele tone, while a 3-way pickup selector switch lets you blend tones for a wide array of sonic combinations, making this one of the most versatile shred guitars in existence. The PT is available for Pre-order on the Adirondack Guitar website: Preorder here!

The hardware featured above includes a string-thru-body bridge with Grover locking tuners for tuning stability, but the C7 FR S also comes in a version with Floyd Rose 1500 Series Locking Tremolo system.
