A Rare Blend of Double Cutaway Comfort and Dual Humbucker Girth in an Affordable Tribute Guitar
The Sterling by Music Man Stingray SR50 is a redesigned tribute edition of Leo Fender’s original Stingray design. This offset double cutaway is unique for its incredible, ‘creamy’ dual humbucker tone which can be both punchy and remarkably full sounding. This sound comes from the Ernie Ball spec humbuckers in the neck and bridge position which are wired with a 3-way toggle switch, allowing you to dial in a wide array of classic hard rock or blues rock sound combinations.
The solid yet medium weight, double cutaway Mahogany body is extremely comfortable and the bolt-on Maple neck with 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard is remarkably playable. The Maple neck is fashioned in a modern ‘U’ shape which is thinner than the classic ‘c’ shape on most double cutaways and features an exquisite satin finish which allows your fret hand to glide along unfettered for the entire length of the neck. The five-bolt neck joint is contoured for easy playability all the way to the very top of the fretboard, making the highest register of the neck extremely accessible.
The Sunburst finish on the Stingray is flawless and serves as a gorgeous template on which the vintage-inspired pickups and hardware paint a near perfect retro portrait of Leo Fender’s original vision. The hardware comes in classic chrome and includes a Sterling by Music Man Vintage Tremolo with locking tuners for impeccable tuning stability.

Classic Styling and Modern Refinements Make the Stingray the Best of Both Worlds
The thing that really sets the Stingray apart from other classic-inspired double cutaways is its tone. The Ernie Ball Spec Humbuckers are voiced perfectly for classic rock and blues rock guitar histrionics, providing the midrange punch and full sound of a classic Gibson with the comfort and feel of a double cutaway Fender. The Sterling by Music Man Stingray bridges the gap between these two worlds extremely well, and does so at a remarkably reasonable price point.
