The Reverend Bayonet RA HC delivers this sound from its proprietary Reverend Railhammer pickups. With a chrome-plated Hyper Vintage Humbucker in the neck position, and a Nuevo 90 Humcutter in the neck position, the Bayonet is famous for its ability to shift from humbucking crunch to P90 drive with a flick of its 3-way switch.
The raw, hard-rocking sound delivered by these pickups is bolstered by the Bayonet’s solid Korina body, a highly resonant medium weight tone wood often found in boutique and vintage instruments. Korina is highly prized for its tonal qualities and consistency, producing a lively and responsive tone that is rich with harmonics. In the Bayonet RA HC the Korina body is topped with flamed maple and is available in just Rock Orange. The Korina neck with Rosewood fingerboard produces impressive sustain and is incredibly comfortable and easy to play.
The tone of the Bayonet is rounded out by its controls -- volume, tone, and bass contour-- custom built with a lower profile knobs to make them easier to use without hitting them accidentally. The hardware includes a Wilkinson WVS50 IIK Tremolo to increase the mayhem and Reverend Pin-Lock tuners to keep it all under control.
