Looking Back to Classic Depression Era Flat Tops With a Tone that is Unmistakably Martin
The Martin 00L-17E is a sloped shoulder flat top model featuring a beautiful, antique-inspired whiskey sunset burst finish on a top made from solid Sitka Spruce. The aesthetics of the 00L-17E are inspired by classic flat tops from the 1930‘s, but one strum on this new offering reveals the warmth and impressive mids that we have come to expect from Martin guitars.
With Mahogany back and sides bound in ivoroid, a straightline rosewood bridge, and a modified low oval neck with a Performance Artist taper, the 00L-17 has warm tone with impressive mids and enough bass to make yourself heard without the booming volume of the Dreadnought. Extremely lightweight and comfortable, the 00L-17E feels as good as it sounds and looks.
The slim neck is made from select hardwoods and features a Rosewood fingerboard that is fast and easy to play. The short scale neck, 24.9“, makes playing chords with wide stretches much easier, while its narrow width makes the higher register of the neck much more accommodating. With incredibly low action, it is easy to move around the neck as quickly as you like. The tapered headstock features Golden Age Relic Nickel tuners, which add an air or authenticity to the 00L-17E‘s Depression era aesthetic.
The built in Fishman Matrix VT Enhance NT1 electronics make this great sounding left handed Martin ready for the stage. Includes a Martin hard shell case.

Classic 1930‘s Era Styling With a Distinctly Modern Sound
Extremely lightweight and easy to play, the Left Handed Martin 00L-17E in a gorgeous aged Whiskey Sunset finish is a great guitar for strumming. Though it may lack the booming sound of the Dreadnought, the 00L-17E has great clarity, and just enough bass to make it excellent for recording and playing live. Many guitar manufacturers are coming out with slope-shouldered guitars inspired by classic models from the 1930‘s, but few have captured the essence of that aesthetic while also maintaining their own distinctive sound the way Martin has with the 17 series.
