The left handed Martin 00-DB Jeff Tweedy Signature was designed in collaboration with Jeff Tweedy, Grammy Award Winning frontman of Wilco and long time Martin player. Made completely with materials certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) the Jeff Tweedy Custom Signature guitar meets the standards set by the Rainforest Alliance for protecting wildlife, communities and forestlands.
Drawing on the attributes of Tweedy’s favorite Martins, the Jeff Tweedy Signature 00-DB features an all Mahogany body with solid Mahogany top, back and sides with certified European Spruce X-bracing inside to give it that rich Martin tone. The lefty 00-DB was designed with a deeper body, giving it a fullness and resonance that you usually don’t get from a 00 sized body shape.
The FSC® Certified Genuine Mahogany neck comes in a modified V-shape with a 25.4“ scale length and sports a super comfortable satin finish and a FSC Richlite fingerboard with Foden style Corian inlays and the neck meeting the body at the 14th fret, giving you plenty of room with which to work.
All side, back and top detailing has been done using FSC certified materials and with all bone saddle and nut and Nickel open gear tuners, this Jeff Tweedy Custom Signature 00-DB delivers the rich tone, accurate intonation and excellent tuning stability that you’ve come to expect from a Martin.
The left handed Martin 00-DB Jeff Tweedy Signature model is made completely from environmentally friendly materials, making this the first Martin Custom Signature model to meet the rigorous standards set by the Rainforest Alliance. While this was really important to Tweedy, it was also important that his Signature Custom Martin also meet his high musical standards, and this Tweedy Signature Model certainly does! With solid Mahogany top, back and sides, slightly increased body depth, and a 25.4“ scale length, this lefty Martin 00-DB Jeff Tweedy signature model has a deeper and fuller tone than a spruce topped guitar and also features a dark burst finish that was inspired by one of the models in the Martin Museum!
