FoxGear Muffin Distortion / Fuzz Pedal

Distortion/Fuzz Pedal Designed to Faithfully Reproduce David Gilmour’s Unique Clipping

The Muffin draws inspiration from Gilmour’s legendary muff used in the 80’s. The Muffin faithfully reproduces Gilmour’s unique clipping. With the muffin, it is easy to dial in the right sound. The Muffin is easy-going, even when stacked with Over Drive and effects, thanks to its Low Noise circuitry.

Like all of Foxgear’s  Professional Compact series pedals, the Foxgear Muffin measures only 2.3” x 4.7” x 1.1”, and can easily fit any pedalboard. Constructed with completely screw-free housings, the Muffin features an acrylic faceplate that lights up and glows warmly once connected to power, and comes with a limited 5 year warranty.

Vintage Sounding Distortion Pedal with Tonal Characteristics Bordering on Classic Fuzz!

The Fuzz pedal that David Gilmour likely used in the 1980‘s was, according to, probably a 70‘s Ram’s Head and the Foxgear Muffin delivers that bright, saturated Ram’s Head character with a mix of the slightly darker sounding early 90s Sovtek Muffs. Either way, the Muffin delivers a very well balanced tone, laden with plenty of top and bottom end, with a hint of mids shining through. The gain character has gorgeous harmonics that take it into fuzz territory. An excellent vintage sounding distortion at a great price!
