Incredibly Versatile Signature Model Offers an Array of Authentic Tones, From Blistering Gain to Authentic Acoustic
The Original John Petrucci Signature Model, the Left Handed Ernie Ball Music Man JP6 with Piezo Bridge features a stylish, lightweight Basswood double cutaway body in a gorgeous Firemist Purple high gloss finish that is highly contoured to allow unfettered access to the highest frets and unparalleled balance and comfort. The figured maple neck is sleek and super fast, featuring a 24-fret Rosewood fretboard with high-profile frets that make playing at the higher end of the fretboard easier and more comfortable, without slippage. The fretboard is adorned with custom JP shield inlays and the neck finish is hand rubbed gunstock oil with a special wax blend, making it sleek and super easy to navigate.
The sonic magic that the Music Man JP6 is famous for comes from its combination of electronics and the addition of a Music Man Custom Piezo bridge, which adds authentic acoustic tone to the mix. Featuring custom DiMarzio pickups including a Dimarzio LiquiFire in the neck position, and a DiMarzio Crunch Lab in the bridge position. A custom 3-way pickup selector switch and special piezo selector switch allow you to blend magentic pickup tones with the Piezo bridge, adding bright, natural string vibration tones to the mix of overdriven active tones, making the JP6 sonically revolutionary.
The hardware includes custom John Petrucci Music Man® Piezo floating tremolo in matte black and Schaller M6-IND locking tuners to keep it all in tune.

The custom Piezo bridge and special stereo outputs allow you to plug the Left Handed Music Man JP6 w/Piezo into two separate amps. By plugging the Piezo into an acoustic amp, and the active electronics into an overdriven amp, you can create a unique blend of acoustic and overdriven sounds in stereo, simultaneously. By combining the playability of a shred guitar with advanced features and unique appointments, Ernie Ball Music Man and John Petrucci have created one of the most sonically versatile guitars on the market today.
