Featuring a contoured, lightweight Basswood body in a Pearl White finish, the Sterling by Music Man JP160 sports a thin Roasted Maple 25.5“ scale length neck and a 24 Fret Rosewood fretboard with a 16“ radius, embossed with custom JP inlays. The double cutaway body is designed with a special ‘forearm scoop’ that provides you with unfettered access to the highest frets, giving the JP160 an extremely comfortable feel and incredibly easy playability.
The JP160 delivers on a wide range of sonic possibilities thanks to its electronics. Equipped with two Music Man spec humbucker pickups, the JP160 also features a push/pull volume control with a 12dB boost that allows you to shift seamlessly from low to high output, making it perfect for switching between rhythm and lead voices. With a 3-way pickup selector switch, you can blend pickup voicings, giving you a wide range of sonic possibilities.
The JP160 also features enhanced hardware appointments including the Sterling designed Lo Pro Double Locking Tremolo system locks both at the saddle and the nut, allowing you to perform all of the tremolo tricks your lead playing demands while maintaining rock solid tuning and stable intonation.
